About me: About me: I was born and raised in Hay and I am a proud Wangkamarra and Wiradjuri person. I attended St. Mary’s from 1990 – 1996. I completed my Year 12 certificate, then received my first job as an Office Administrator at Employment Works in 2003. My son is the fourth generation to attend St Mary’s School.
I have been an Aboriginal Education Worker at St Mary’s School for the last 10 years. I have a variety of roles at the school – cleaner, book club ordinator, book fair organiser and I also organise the 2HayFM reports. I love my job as I can share my knowledge of Aboriginal culture and history as well as helping and supporting the students each day.
My interests are photography, creative arts, Aboriginal culture and sports (it doesn’t matter which sport, I love it!). Two of my favourite sports are league tag and touch football.
I love spending time with my family, especially my son, my niece and nephew, and our puppy Chica.
I enjoy working at St Mary’s. Seeing all the happy faces and smiles of the students makes my day. Each day is different and I am always learning new things (from the staff and students)!
